About Mail-Orders
By far the largest number of our plants are sold and delivered through
mail-order.
Daylilies ship very easily through the mail. Fresh dug
plants have the soil washed from the roots, leaves are
trimmed to prevent breakage and excess water loss. When dry, plants are packed
in a cardboard box and shipped to you by by Canada Post Expedited
Parcel. All plants we ship are minimum double fans. If we are not in danger of selling out of a
cultivar we ship triples, quads or better.
Shipping is done on Mondays and Tuesdays so that plants will not spend
the weekend in the post office. Most orders within

We try extremely hard to meet your delivery requests and the vast
majority of orders are shipped at the time requested. Shipping priority is
given on a First-Paid-For-Basis, which simply means that early season orders
will be given preferential scheduling over later season orders. Our month of
May is very hectic with family and friends working hard to get as many orders
out as quickly as possible.
If you provide an email address with your order we will confirm shipping
date, and notify you with a tracking number when your plants have left. If
there are dates that we should not ship let us know and we will accommodate
them. Pickups of container grown plants take far less of our time and can often
be arranged on short notice
We do not ship earlier than May 1st - the weather can unpredictable and
plants may not have developed well enough. We also do not ship after mid September. Plants that have
been bare-rooted for shipping, should be in the ground before mid September to
ensure the roots have time to establish a footing before winter sets in. (our
Container Grown Plants can be planted right up until the ground freezes and
they emerge perfectly in spring).
