Dauntless is a historically significant cultivar in that it is the only one of Arlow Burdette Stout's hybrids to receive the highest daylily award named after Stout himself. Recipient of the Stout Silver Medal for 1954, 3 years before Stout passed away, Dauntless represents the State of the Art of the Daylily for 1954 and the award was made for a beautiful cultivar as well as to recognize Stout's lifetime of achievments.

Light polychrome yellow with a rose halo. Every time we see Dauntless we think of how much the Art of the Daylily has evolved in the last 60 years.
