Iris pumila (Dwarf Bearded Iris)

This classic Dwarf Bearded Iris is the earliest Iris in our gardens with bloom typically starting the middle of May and extending into June.

Bloom is a rich violet blue with darker falls and distinctly blue beards. Bloom scapes are about 12" tall and slightly taller than the medium grey-green leaves.

Like all Bearded Iris the rhizomes should be planted just at the surface of a well drained soil, in full sun or part shade.

A saturated pop of colour for the May garden.

Beards are a distinctly rich blue, with falls darker than the standards.
